Apology from STECS

Due to a most unfortunate oversight, the resignation of Elizabeth Payne was not recorded in the recent edition of The Scottie. Elizabeth worked tirelessly for many many years raising funds and promoting the work of STECS.

She has herself had a number of STECS Scotties to keep her company over the years, her present Scottie, Aggie is a credit to her.

Elizabeth’s decision to resign as President was regrettable but she felt unable to continue for a number of personal reasons.Elizabeth will be much missed – STECS has been fortunate to have had her support for so long and is duly grateful. We wish her a happy retirement and assure her and members of the realisation of the
hurt this has caused and apologise again for the sad oversight.

The Trustees wish to thank Elizabeth for contribution to STECS’s work.

  1. I can not believe that this was a “most unfortunate oversight”. How can anyone simply ‘forget’ to recognise and publicise the efforts and achievements of their retiring president? Whoever was responsible should hang their head in shame.

  2. Barry Fenton says:

This is unfortunate and I am sure everyone is grateful for the outstanding contribution Elizabeth has made down the years. Nellie is looking down on all of us and reminding us that we work together for the greater benefit of STECS
